Lower Sabie Rest Camp Accommodation

Lower Sabie Camp graces the banks of the Sabie River, one of the few perennial rivers to flow through Kruger National Park. In this rest camp nature can be appreciated through the amount of trees and plant life. Mighty Sycamore Figs, provide generously for the livelihood of many animals, birds and insects.

Huts

The huts vary between 1, 2, 3 or 5 bedroom units. There are 4 one-bedroom units and 26 multiple bedroom units available. Each hut is fitted with a fridge and air-conditioning. There are no crockery, cutlery or cooking utensils. A communal kitchen and scullery fitted with electric stoves is available for guests to use.

Bungalows

This Kruger National Park accommodation features 58 bungalows with 2 bedrooms ad 2 bungalows with 3 bedrooms. The 2 bedroom units are fitted mostly with showers, however, one is fitted with a bath. Additional facilities include a fridge and air-conditioning. There are no crockery, cutlery or cooking utensils available but guests can make use of the communal kitchen and scullery fitted with electric stoves.

The 3 bedroom units are fully equipped and feature an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom is fitted with a shower and a bath. Additional facilities include a kitchenette, fridge and air-conditioning. Family bungalows are also available. There are 2 five bedroom bungalows for guests to stay in. The bungalows feature 2 separate bedrooms, 1 fitted with 2 single beds and another one with 3 single beds. The bungalow is fully equipped and features a kitchenette and en-suite bathrooms.

Keartland Guest House

If it is high-class luxury accommodation in Kruger National Park that tickles your fancy, then enjoy a stay at the 7-bedded Keartland guesthouse. With en-suite facilities, fully equipped air conditioning, DSTV, a carport and prime views over the Sabie River, you may want to book well in advance before arriving at your lodging in Kruger National Park.

A very recent innovation and attraction at Lower Sabie Rest Camp has been the addition of dreamily romantic semi-luxury 2-bedded tents, positioned so as to secure intimate privacy for each one. Each has its own small bathroom and kitchenette, and some have the added advantage of a river view. Three of the tents have been adapted for use by visitors with impaired mobility, making getting around in Kruger National Park easier.

Safari Tents

The safari tents are ideal for guests seeking alternative accommodation in Kruger National Park. The 24 two-bed canvas tents are situated on stilts. The tents are fully equipped and feature 2 single beds, a fridge, overhead fan and a small veranda. Some of the safari tents boast river views.

Campsites

The campsites are suitable for both tents and caravans. There are 33 sites available each with power point, communal ablutions and cooking facilities. This camping accommodation in Kruger National Park allows a maximum of 6 guests per site.

Disabled-friendly Accommodation

Lower Sabie Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, offers wheelchair-friendly chalets and units. The Keartlands Guesthouse and some of the safari tents are also wheelchair accessible. The shops, restaurants, main building, pool and boardwalk along the river can be accessed via wheelchair.
