Classic Lodge Safari Experience

The wilderness areas of the Kruger Park provide for the greatest diversity of species in Africa and there is no better way to experience this diversity than in a private concession where the feeling of belonging grows with each moment.

Experienced guides share the secrets, and the big game of the African bush, enriching an already overwhelming experience. This 3 day Buffalo Hideout experience takes guests into the domain of the big tuskers and expansive landscapes.

Besides the expectation of seeing the big game of Africa the area also provides some of Kruger Park’s most dramatic birding, with more than 500 species known to occur. The rangers know the area and the habits of the animals intimately, and as such are teachers of the secrets of the African bush.

And if the game viewing becomes too overwhelming, this 3 day Buffalo Hideout safari also provide the opportunity for golfing and massage therapy.

DAY 1: Johannesburg to Kruger Park

Depart Johannesburg for your flight to Kruger Park where you will be met upon arrival by your driver who will then transfer you through to your Classic Kruger National Park accommodation. This drive to the lodge will give you the opportunity to experience the wonders of Kruger for the first time.

You will arrive in camp where you will enjoy a light lunch and relax a bit before heading out on your first South African safari in an open 4x4 vehicle. The game drive will be between 3 – 4 hours including a memorable stop for sundowners overlooking the African wilderness. Upon return to the camp, dinner will be served in the open air boma under the stars.

DAY 2: Kruger National Park

After an early morning wake-up call with coffee/tea and rusks, you will head out on a morning open safari vehicle game drive during which your ranger will track African wildlife such as Lion, Buffalo, Elephant, Rhino and Cheetah.

After the 3 hour game drive, you will return to the lodge for a bush brunch. The warm midday period of this South African safari in Kruger can be spent relaxing at the pool with a book, or maybe on your private patio overlooking the bush.

After lunch, you are taken out on the afternoon game drive, which also doubles as a night drive since you return to camp after dark. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks while the traditional African dinner is prepared by lodge staff. End your last evening off with stories told around the fire.

DAY 3: Kruger Park to Johannesburg

Another early day, followed by a 3-4 hour morning open safari vehicle game drive and brunch served back at camp. This concludes your 3 Day Buffalo Hideout Package tour in Kruger Park. You will be picked after brunch for the road transfer back to the airstrip for your onward arrangements.
