Your African Safari Experience

After some travel, you will finally make your way to Ngala Private Game Reserve. The team at the reserve will welcome you and help you to settle in at the Kruger accommodation of your choice. There is a lodge with 20 thatched chalets and a camp with 6 luxury and romantic tented suites. If you are a Lion, Leopard and Wild Dog lover, then Ngala is the place for you.

Because this reserve was the first to become a private safari reserve in Kruger National Park, there is so much history to acquaint yourself with. After you have settled in there is a night game drive. Your ranger will take you deep into the bush and with a spotlight in hand, look out for the animals of the wild on your African safari.

Before dark falls, watch the blazing African sunset melt away and darkness take its place. Once it is dark a variety of nocturnal wildlife comes out to get their food before morning light. Some of the species to see include the Serval Cat, Wild Cat, Lion, Leopard and Bushbabies (type of Lemur).

After the exciting game drive, you make your way back to camp for a delicious dinner. Dinner is followed by drinks at the bar or a good nights rest. The mornings consist of early wake-up calls and game drives followed by delicious brunches back at the lodge or camp.

Most of the day can be spent at your leisure, in the pool or getting some extra sleep. A light lunch is served, then you might want to read a book or stay in touch with the world via the internet in the library. After high tea, the rangers set out with you as their guest back into the bush for the night game drive.

There will never be a dull moment on your African safari. Whether you are on a game activity or resting, you will be entertained by the sights, smells and sounds.

One thing to remember about the camps; if you are bringing your family or you are a group travelling together, Ngala Game Lodge is ideal. Each chalet comes with air-conditioning, private verandas, en-suite bathrooms and showers. There is a large pool at the lodge which looks over the bush.

Ngala Tented Safari Camp is small and intimate, perfect for honeymooners or discerning travellers wanting an "authentic safari". The suites feature en-suite bathrooms, showers, overhead fans and wooden game viewing decks. The camp has a contoured lap pool.
