Birders Paradise Safari Experience
The Birders Paradise Safari is the ultimate classic lodge experience in terms of being in a very quiet and remote region and therefore creating the feeling of being completely alone in the African bush. As the lodge is in a private wilderness concession you will come across very few travelers, allowing for an exclusive adventure.
During your safaris, your guide will focus on pointing out many species of birds and taking you on educational bush walks to share his intimate knowledge of the natural environment. The tented accommodation at your classic lodge is comfortable with views of the Luvuvhu River.
Day 1: Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport to Kruger Park
After collecting your rental car from the airport, it is a 7 hour drive north to the furthermost corner of Kruger National Park where your classic lodge is situated. It is therefore suggested that you depart early so that you can still do your first afternoon game drive today.
Check in is followed by a light lunch and then it is off into the private wilderness concession with your guide on a game drive. This region of Kruger National Park is the ancestral home of the Makuleke people and you can look forward to an evening around the fire listening to interesting folklore shared by your guide.
Day 2: Lodge in Kruger National Park
An early morning wake-up call begins the day as you head out on the morning game drive with your guide and tracker. The area offers diverse sightings set against the beauty of the Kruger wilderness. Brunch is a leisurely affair and you have the rest of the morning and afternoon to enjoy the absolute tranquility.
Relax in the African Wilderness or try to spot one of the many species of birds in the area on a bush walk with your ranger. Your late afternoon and evening safari will be between 3 – 4 hours which allows for ample time to see some of the many shy wildlife only coming out at night. A traditional dinner will be served on your return to the lodge.
Day 3: Depart Kruger National Park for Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport
Your last early morning wake- up call, followed by a 3-4 hour morning open safari vehicle game before returning to the lodge for breakfast. This marks the end of your 3 day Birders Paradise package in Kruger Park and you are ready for the return journey to Johannesburg.
