Original Safari Package Safari Experience
Imagine sitting around a fire, your meal cooking on the grill and the stars of the African sky twinkling above and then you hear the deep-throated roar of a lion in the distance.
This is the Africa you have dreamt about but have never thought possible to experience due to high costs. This classic 4 day Kruger Park safari package is the ideal experience for those looking for an affordable yet authentic safari experience.
The days are spent searching the vast wilderness of this iconic destination for the big game that Kruger Park is famed for, and the experienced guide is on hand to share some of the more intimate details of the wilderness.
Day 1: Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport to Kruger Park
Depart early from Johannesburg between 07h00 and 07h30 in the morning to start your group safari to Kruger National Park. A stop will be made en-route for lunch in one of the smaller towns. When you enter Kruger Park at approximately 12h00, the first game drive will start.
Your guide will be sharing his intimate knowledge of the park’s amazing diversity of wildlife and plants. You will arrive at your Rest Camp in Kruger National Park in the late afternoon, and then there is some time at leisure to go for a quick swim, purchase some gifts or beverages at the camp shop
After you have familiarised yourself with the camp, your guide will start to prepare dinner. The evening will be quite exciting as you start hearing all kinds of nocturnal animal sounds.
Day 2 & 3: Kruger National Park
The early morning knock on your door signals the start of 2 full days on safari in Kruger Park. After a warm cup of coffee, you begin your early morning drive which is the perfect time for seeing predators. Breakfast will be served picnic-style and then it is off into the bush again.
Enjoy the last hour of your morning game drive and then return to camp in the afternoon for some time at leisure during the hottest part of the day. All Rest Camps used on this Kruger Park safari package have cafeterias and restaurants where you can buy lunch.
In the late afternoon you embark on a sunset drive which allows for the opportunity to see the amazing nightlife of Kruger Park. Upon your return, your guide will have already prepared the evening meal and you will have a fantastic experience sitting under the stars listening to lions roaring in the distance.
Day 4: Depart Kruger National Park via Panorama Route for Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport
There is still time for a couple of hours morning game drive in the hope of seeing those last few animals you have not yet ticked off your list. After brunch, you will leave Kruger National Park on the scenic part of your safari package. This includes some spectacular sights of the Panorama Route.
Enjoy amazaing views of the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window, Lisbon Waterfalls, Pilgrims Rest and the 3 Rondavels. After lunch it’s a good 4 hours drive back to Johannesburg where you are scheduled to arrive approximately 18h00.
