Your African Safari ExperienceArriving at Imbali Safari Lodge in the afternoon, the staff will take your luggage through to your chalet. You can take some time to freshen up and dust off the travel dirt, before joining your guide for cakes and tea. After high tea your guide will take you out on your first game drive. Out in the bush is when you step back into time and appreciate the sights and sounds of the wild, that pioneers first experienced.
Some of the sights you will never forget are fiery African sunsets, spotting wildlife at the waterhole, the roars of the mighty Lion prides and the endless vistas. From certain vantage points in the Kruger National Park, you can see the mountains and endless masses of bush.
The reason why most visitors come to Kruger National Park, is to see the Big Five. The Big Five were known as the most dangerous animals to hunt during the era of colonial hunters, and still are. These animals were known to turn the hunter into the hunted. The regal members on the list of the Big Five include Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo.
Looking at these regal animals on TV or a postcard does not do them justice. Their size, beauty and means of living can only be appreciated in their habitat. |
