Guests can hear traditional African tales and enjoy camp fire dinners under the stars for an unforgettable family getaway. Day 1: Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport to Kruger National Park Self-drive guests can pick up their rental car from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport for the drive east to Kruger National Park, while fly-in guests check in for the flight to Kruger and a transfer to the lodge. If you leave Johannesburg early enough, you can arrive in time for lunch at your Family Holiday Safari Lodge. Then it is off to exploring the lodge and settling into your inter-leading family suite where you will be spending the next 2 nights Excitement will be quite high with your first afternoon game drive of approximately 3-4 hours and you are sure to have some of the best wildlife sightings that Kruger National Park has to offer. Upon return to your lodge, dinner will be served in the open air boma or enclosure which is an experience your family will always remember. Day 2: Lodge in Kruger National Park Following your early wake-up call, you will head out on a morning open safari vehicle game drive to view the wildife of Kruger. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for a welcome bush brunch. During your afternoon at leisure enjoy family fun and relaxation. The children can play in the swimming pool while you read a good book on the pool deck keeping an eye on them, or alternatively, babysitting services are available if you would like to treat yourself to a massage at the spa. High tea will be followed by an afternoon game drive which will also be your chance to do a night drive in Kruger National Park. Afterwards you can share your wildlife encounters around the boma fire with other guests or just sit back and listen to your guide’s vivid storytelling. Day 3: Depart Kruger National Park for Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport Another early day, followed by a 3-4 hour morning open safari vehicle game drive and brunch served back at your Family Holiday Safari Lodge. Fly-in guests will be picked up after brunch for the road transfer back to the airport and check-in for their onward flight to Johannesburg.
