Getting to Shishangeni Private Lodge

Shishangeni Private Lodge is situated on a 15 000 ha private concession in the south-eastern section of the world-renowned Kruger Park in South Africa.

The borders of this pristine area in Kruger Park are the perennial Crocodile River to the south and Mozambique in the east. To reach Shishangeni Private Lodge, it is only a short 40 minute flight from Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. We arrange private transfer services in air-conditioned vehicles from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for the one and a half hour’s drive to the camp.

Shishangeni Private Lodge is also easily accessible with a sedan vehicle on a 5 hour drive from Johannesburg via the N4 highway to Nelspruit and Komatipoort where you can enter Kruger Park at its most southern gate, Crocodile Bridge. From Crocodile Bridge Gate it will take another 30 minutes to travel to the Camp through the park. Late entries are allowed by prior arrangement until 19h00 in the evening.

Directions to Shishangeni Private Lodge

Fly-Drive

  • Fly to KMIA, (the nearest airport)
  • Drive to the N4 through Malelane, stay on the N4 for about 40km until the left turn into Komatipoort
  • Drive through the town of Komatipoort towards Crocodile Bridge gate (8km)
  • Once inside the Kruger National Park, travel for 4km and cross the Vurhami Bridge
  • Turn right at the first Camp sign board onto a gravel road
  • Turn right at the second sign board for the camp (no entry sign)
  • Drive for about another 10km. This road will take you straight to the lodge.

By road from Komatipoort

  • Drive through the town of Komatipoort towards Crocodile Bridge gate (8km)
  • Once inside the Kruger National Park, travel for 4km and cross the Vurhami Bridge
  • Turn right at the first Camp sign board onto a gravel road
  • Turn right at the second sign board for the Camp (no entry sign)
  • Drive for about another 10km. This road will take you straight to the lodge.
