A brief history of Alf Roberts who ran a trading post called Tengamanzi in the 1880's near the Crocodile River in Kruger Park.Along with a number of Pre-historic sites in the park, are also the remains of historical buildings, which serve as a reminder of the more recent history of the Park. One such reminder is on the Crocodile River, and is known to be Alf Roberts' trade store.

Today its site is marked by a couple of mounds and a few broken bottles, lingering wistfully on as a memory of forgotten celebrations, and a kindly host who later met his death from some unknown assailant in his store at Malelane.
