One of Africa's premier safari destinations, the Tinga concession in the Kruger National Park offers a safari which is the combination of luxury, first-class service and excellent game viewing. Both Tinga Game Lodges have a secluded position on the Sabi River, the perfect location from which to experience the full spectrum of Africa's wildlife.
Some 20 years ago a ferocious battle was fought under the Makkelberry trees along the banks of the Sabi River within the Kruger National Park. This was a battle both for territory and survival which was fought between two huge male Lions. The survivor of that battle was Tinga and the lodges are named in his honour.
Guests can choose to stay in either Legends or Narina Lodge. Both lodges have a similar ambiance and are constructed in an eco-friendly manner. They both offer an elegant retreat in the heart of the bush and can accommodate up to 18 guests in 9 well-appointed suites. The reception areas of the lodge are open- sided and offer scenic views over the beautiful river forest.
The Tinga Private Game Lodge vehicles have access to the entire Kruger National Park, so guests are sure to spot lots of wildlife, including Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Black and White Rhino and Leopard, Africa’s Big Five. Guests will also encounter a host of other wildlife and the regions abundant birdlife. An expert guide will introduce guests to the secrets of the bush.
