Col Tobias du Toit took over from brigadier general Pierre du Plessis as Officer Commanding of Air Force Base Hoedspruit on 27 January 2004.
Brig Genl du Plessis is now head of combat systems in Pretoria. Col du Toit was Air Wing Co-ordinator at Air Force Base Waterkloof before his present position at AFB Hoedspruit. He is married to Marie and has two daughters and a son.
