Calling All Science Communicators

Kruger Park News Archive

The South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA) has joined forces with the prestigious Cornell University in the United States to develop and present South Africa's first academic programme in science communication to develop expertise and interest in this exciting and important emerging field.

The pilot course, presented from August to December 2005, will be designed for people already employed in a science or science policy environment and will therefore be offered on a part-time basis.

This course is the pilot phase of a more comprehensive course that will be developed from 2006 onwards. Students will be expected to participate in the development of this course, by helping to evaluate the pilot phase. This pilot course will therefore be FREE OF CHARGE.
