Scaly Sighting Excites Visitors

Last October my wife and I had our first vacation in South Africa: Three weeks in the Kruger Park. The Wolhuter trail was an experience we will never forget! The rangers Johann Oelofse and Oupa Modirwa taught us so much and really made us love nature even more!

On the way back to the Wolhuter base camp we met this pangolin! We saw the pangolin besides the road under the trunk, waiting for us to leave. So Johan switched off the engine and we waited for the pangolin to move, which it did after some minutes.

The pangolin climbed over the trunk, walked away and came back again! Then we slowly followed for about 50 metres but left the pangolin alone after it rested on the side of its body among some fallen leaves.

Thank you very much,
