Skukuza Track and Field Stars Shine

Over the last two weeks Skukuza Primary held their field and track events for their inter-house athletics meeting. Six records were broken altogether. Kgaolo Moreku broke the U13 200m girls track event by 0,6 seconds; Liam Hollyoak broke the U13 200m boys track event by 2.64 seconds; Nkateko Silinda broke the U12 150m girls track event by 0.2 seconds; Eulander Mashele broke the girls U11 long jump event by 0.06 meters; Blake Schraader broke the boys U11 shot put record by an incredible 0.82 metres and Lerato Mnisi broke the girls U8 60 metres track event by 0.2 seconds.

'Well done to all the athletes who tried their best but especially to our record breakers who truly went the 'extra mile' faster, further or higher than anyone else. Congratulations - you are all stars,' said Sharon Gillespie, a teacher at the school.
