Balloon Experiences:

A wonderful sightseeing experience followed by a country breakfast, can be added on to your Kruger Park Safari. This will include transfers.

Scenic Balloon Flight:

You will be greeted with tea or coffee and biscuits on arrival at the launch site near Hazyview. The hot air balloon launches as early as possible, the hot air ballooning safari lasts about an hour. This is a wonderful scenic experience with magnificent attractions and views of the escarpment to the west, and the Lowveld to the east, with the Sabi River winding its way to the horizon.

The launch site is situated just where the foothills of the escarpment begin, and the terrain is of small hills and hidden valleys, densely vegetated with cultivated and indigenous forest, and fruit orchards. This is a lovely hot air ballooning venue!

On landing you will be served an excellent Cape wine. Fruit juice, bottled water and a light snack are also offered on this hot air ballooning safari. All of this is followed by a lovely country breakfast at a charming country lodge close to the launch site. The Scenic Balloon Flight is aimed at passengers who have their own transport to the hot air ballooning launch site in Sabi River Valley, and the price quoted excludes transfers.

Sunrise Balloon Experience:

You are met at your hotel reception and driven to the hot air ballooning launch site, just in time for a cup of coffee before the hot air ballooning flight departs. For guests in the Sabi Sands Reserve, staff from the accommodation and lodging will take you to the nearest gate to be met at 5.00am for transfer to the hot air balloon launch site. After a Scenic Balloon Flight you are returned to your accommodation and lodging, arriving late in the morning.

Panorama Balloon Experience:

After a Sunrise hot air ballooning experience, you are taken for a Panorama Tour by your suitably qualified guide. You will visit places of breathtaking beauty and attractions such as the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Three Rondawels and God's Window.

An excellent picnic lunch, including beverages is served en-route. You are then returned to your accommodation and lodging during the afternoon. If you are staying in any of the lodges in the Sabi Sands Reserve you will be returned in time for the afternoon game drive.

Exclusive Balloon Experience:

You are met at your accommodation and lodging and taken to the hot air balloon launch site in the Sabi River Valley to start your suggested itinerary. After tea or coffee and biscuits you depart on your scenic hot air balloon flight. An excellent Cape sparkling wine, fruit juice and a light snack is served on landing.

You can quote specifically for each enquiry for an Exclusive Balloon Experience, and you will be consulted on requirements regarding flowers at the launch site, French Champagne, luxury vehicle transfer (as opposed to a kombi or similar vehicle), photographer etc.

Your flight certificates will be posted to you if necessary. When you have eaten your fill, and relaxed for long enough after your dining experience, You will be returned to your hotel. This exclusive experience can be arranged for groups of 4 to 6 people, and add a little 'extra' or two along the way to make each hot air balloon flight even more special.

Passenger Policy:

The weight of the passengers determines the maximum number on the hot air balloon. Please let Balloons Over Africa know before booking if anyone's weight is more than 100kg. Balloons Over Africa reserves the right to accept bookings from more than one group in order to accommodate the maximum number of passengers per flight.

If you have health considerations, you accept the responsibility to consult a doctor before embarking on a hot air balloon flight. If there are any questions regarding physical suitability, or health limitations please discuss this before booking. All will be done to accommodate prospective passengers, however Balloons Over Africa reserves the right to refuse anyone who, in their opinion would be a safety liability to themselves and others. It's considered unsafe to fly when pregnant.

You must be capable of standing for the duration of the flight, and be able to enter and exit the basket unassisted. Balloons Over Africa (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to decline to any you should your health, physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation, or the enjoyment of the other passengers. Anyone intoxicated will be denied participation. Should Balloons Over Africa (Pty) Ltd decline to accept a passenger under the conditions described in this paragraph, that passenger shall be deemed to have canceled their reservation.

Children must be at least 12 years old, and children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
